Who is this for?
Some of you started as brewers who realized you needed food service to make the math work. Others came from the restaurant side and added a brewery because you were tired of paying someone else's markup on draft beer. Either way, you ended up running a hybrid business that's harder to operate than a standalone restaurant or a standalone brewery. And design is always the thing that gets pushed to next week.
Problem statement
The big branding studios want $15K+ and a six-week discovery process. The freelancer your buddy recommended ghosted after the logo. And that Canva template you found at 1am still looks like a Canva template.
We built the Backroom for the space between those options.
YOUR PLACE MATTERS
MORE THAN YOU THINK
People used to have a place between home and work where they could just show up. The diner on the corner. The neighborhood bar with the same five regulars every Thursday. Most of those places are gone now, replaced by drive-throughs and delivery apps and group chats.
Brewpubs are one of the few left.
Your taproom is where the couple down the street has their Tuesday night tradition. Where the new guy in the neighborhood meets someone who isn't on a screen. Where the local running club lands after a Saturday morning 5K and doesn't leave until noon.
That matters. And it's worth looking like you know it matters.
We're not in the business of selling you a logo. We're in the business of helping the places people actually care about look as good as they deserve to.
the pitch
You make great beer. You have a cool venue. People like you. But the new shine wore off, and now you're competing for attention with every other bar, restaurant, and streaming service in a 5-mile radius.
That couple who left you a 5-star Yelp review last spring hasn't been back. Not because they stopped liking you. Because nothing reminded them to come back.
That's the job. Not a rebrand. Not a viral campaign. Just the boring, repetitive, invisible work that keeps your place in people's heads. A seasonal label that makes someone scrolling their phone stop and think "that looks cool, I should check them out again." An event listing that actually shows up when someone Googles "things to do tonight." A menu that doesn't look like it was made the year you opened.
You focus on the craft. Deepen the relationships with the people who walk through your door. We keep the backroom running. It costs a fraction of a payroll hire, and we bring something an employee can't: a front row seat to what's working across the brewpub space, plus the backstage pass to the fails. Years of pattern recognition across dozens of venues that no single in-house hire could accumulate on the clock at one location.
But here's the tradeoff we're honest about: we can't fix your vibe, and we can't fix your beer. That's yours. We can only make sure the world outside your walls knows what's happening inside them.
That's why we love brewpubs. You can't fake the product or the atmosphere in a room full of regulars.
None of this is glamorous. All of it compounds.
